Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

Welcome to Gordon East Public School!

We are a welcoming and vibrant learning community where every student is supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Set on two hectares in a peaceful, leafy residential area, Gordon East offers a safe and nurturing environment with modern facilities, spacious grounds, and well-equipped classrooms. Our dedicated and enthusiastic teaching staff work closely with students and families to ensure each child is known, valued, and cared for.

At Gordon East, we believe that strong partnerships between school and home are essential to student success. We actively encourage parent involvement and value the important role families play in their child’s learning journey.

We offer a rich and challenging academic program alongside a variety of extra-curricular opportunities. Students can explore their interests and build new skills through activities such as garden club, choir, chess club, dance groups, bands, and representative sport.

Our school values of being safe, respectful learners guide all aspects of school life, fostering a positive, inclusive culture where students feel confident, connected, and capable.

If you’re looking for a school where your child will be inspired to learn, supported to grow, and encouraged to shine, we warmly invite you to join our Gordon East Public School community.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family.

Mrs Ruth White,

Principal of Gordon East Public School

Our teaching staff - Senior School

Your child’s school experience is shaped by the people around them. Our teachers bring experience, care and a passion for learning to every lesson. With a focus on success, they help every child reach their full potential.

Our Senior School offers a comprehensive learning experience through two key programs: the Middle Years Program for Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) and the Transition to High School Program for Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6). In the Middle Years Program, students deepen their understanding across a broad range of subjects, developing critical thinking skills and building confidence in their abilities. As they move into the Transition to High School Program, students are supported to prepare for the next stage of their education. This program focuses on developing independence, organisational skills, and resilience, helping students adjust smoothly to the demands of high school life. Throughout both programs, our experienced teachers provide personalised support, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning and to explore their strengths and interests in a positive and supportive environment.
